Shape steel for heavy equipment manufacturing at Tigercat in Paris, using metalworking machines, measuring instruments, and safe production practices daily.
This Metal Fabrication Machine Operator role includes brake presses and other equipment used to cut, bend, roll, punch, drill, and form metal. You will interpret engineering drawings, set up machinery, inspect dimensions, and maintain equipment. The schedule runs Monday through Friday from 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
Key Responsibilities:- Lay out and operate metalworking machines and hand tools
- Set up brakes for varied materials and thicknesses
- Check parts against dimensions and specifications
- Follow safety protocols and wear required protective equipment
- Work collaboratively toward production goals and timelines
- Metalworking machine operating experience
- Previous brake press experience preferred
- Blueprint, diagram, and engineering drawing interpretation
- Mathematical, mechanical, and technical skills considered an asset
- Adaptability during changing demands and unexpected events
