Marketing Consultant, Retail Life Insurance (18 month contract)

Key Responsibilities- Lead and execute life insurance marketing campaigns to drive awareness and lead generation
- Support the design and enhancement of the life insurance illustration platform (end-to-end client journey)
- Contribute to the development and launch of a digital quote tool for term life insurance
- Build and optimize lead generation flows, including web forms and user journeys
- Create sales support materials (presentations, infographics, print collateral) for advisors
- Collaborate cross-functionally with:
Marketing teams (web, email, social);
Life & Wealth stakeholders;
Advisors and distribution partners;
External vendors (e.g., platform partners) - Translate business requirements into clear user flows and marketing strategies
- You use critical thinking skills to recognize assumptions, evaluate arguments, draw conclusions, and proactively propose solutions.
- You are well organized and detail oriented and use a variety of tools and processes to track, manage and share information across stakeholders.
- You have strong communication and interpersonal skills to convey messages and explore diverse points of view.
- You have an innovative mindset to improve operational efficiencies and the ability to influence change, with a primary focus on client needs.
- You build and maintain trusting relationships and provide guidance to support the development of colleagues.
Skills & Qualifications
- Five (5) to seven (7) years’ experience in a marketing communication function with a proven ability to develop and execute marketing programs utilizing a variety of tactics and channels – including multi-media (social media, paid digital advertising, video, website content and landing page development), print-publications, direct marketing, sales collaterals, sponsor ships and events, etc.
- Experience leveraging B2C and B2B2C marketing channels and take a problem solving and methodical approach to exploring alternative solutions when necessary.
- Solid analytical skills to effectively review campaign metrics against objectives with ability to recommend timely options for pivoting as required.
- Skills in project management, marketing and communications strategic planning, organizing and consensus building.
- Knowledge of, or previous exposure to, the print production process and web communications management.
- Ability to work effectively with external agencies and suppliers to successfully manage delivery of work on-time and on-budget.
- The ability to manage through impact and influence.
- Excellent relationship management and interpersonal skills.
- Able to challenge the status quo through continually reviewing programs and tactics to ensure they meet the strategic needs of the business.
- A University Degree (ideally in marketing, communications, business, or a related field).
- Experience in financial services/insurance is considered a strong asset.

Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Guelph, ON.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $45.00 - $53.85/hr.
