The Marketing Portfolio Lead for Crop Protection in Eastern Canada will design, develop, and implement strategic marketing programs and pricing strategies to support the organization’s products and services across various market sectors. Utilizing specific marketing strategies and media, including print, broadcast, and digital, effectively launch and position offerings. This role collaborates with sales and technical teams to identify and execute targeted marketing strategies, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
Managing work across multiple marketing sub‑families, including product and brand marketing, P&L management, advertising, and promotional activities, analyze market trends and customer data to identify opportunities, inform marketing strategies, and enhance overall brand performance.

Bayer is committed to a flexible hybrid working environment. This is a permanent position preferably based out of the Guelph, Ontario office, or remotely within Ontario.
What you will do- Lead a comprehensive marketing campaign planning process, co‑creating with cross‑functional stakeholders (e.g. customer facing, Marketing/CX, Market Development, Product Teams, Product Supply, etc.)
- Develop and deploy foundational marketing campaigns focused on priority solutions, that seek to balance broad foundational components and localized flexibility to maximize customer relevance, impact and efficiency
- Lead creation and execution of marketing programs and tactics (e.g. customized agronomic solutions, cross‑sell/upsell programs, product launch incentives, etc.) to ensure that they meet or exceed customer needs
- Execute pricing strategy in alignment with organizational guidance
- Jointly lead sales activation initiatives, ensuring timely delivery and execution
- Coordinate with Communications Leads in design and deployment of marketing materials and communications plans that enable business opportunities
- Align with other Marketing Leads to ensure a consistent, high‑value, customer‑focused Bayer brand experience is received in‑market
- Jointly lead product advisory teams supporting Market Development protocols and agronomic commercial research program prioritizations
- Collaborate, coach and support customer facing colleagues to develop and implement local marketing tactics that achieve desired outcomes and meet or exceed Bayer standards
- Provide input as a contributing member to product development teams and lifecycle projects, as needed
- Manage brand presence and communications and actively participate in key partner events, product and agronomy training, and key launches
- B.Sc/B.Sc Ag/B.Comm/B.A in Business/Marketing or Agriculture related discipline (MBA or MSc would be considered an asset).
- Minimum 8+ years aligned business experience (Seeds & CP)
- Strong knowledge of the grower customer and the retail channel
- Effective organizational, project management and time management abilities
- Able to prioritize effectively and have strong attention to detail
- Ability to work effectively in cross‑functional teams while supporting multiple priorities and deadlines
- Commitment to communication, co‑creation, collaboration working in cross‑functional team environments.
- Valid driver’s license with ability to travel mostly within Ontario.
