Registered Practical Nurse in Complex Care

Elevate patient care as a Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) in Complex Continuing Care s casual role demands expertise in nursing and the ability to work varied shifts including weekends.
The RPN at SJHCG is accountable for general nursing duties while supervising and directing support staff like PSWs on a designated unit.

Your role focuses on adhering to the Practice Standards of the College of Nurses of Ontario. You’ll coordinate care for clients, evaluating outcomes and modifying care plans accordingly, all while collaborating closely with Registered Nurses and the healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide general nursing care to patients daily

• Supervise and direct support staff on the unit

• Develop and assess care plans for less-complex clients

• Collaborate with RNs for complex client care needs

• Adapt plans based on client responses and outcomes
Requirements:

• RPN registered with the College of Nurses of Ontario

• Minimum one year nursing experience in healthcare

• Current CPR certification

• Strong communication and leadership abilities

• Basic computer skills and organizational skills
