Overview
We are looking for a Nurse Specialized in Wound, Ostomy & Continence (NSWOC) to provide wound and ostomy consultation for patients in the clinic and community. The NSWOC will promote self‑management and lead the interdisciplinary team to achieve optimal patient outcomes.

This position offers a competitive compensation grid with progression based on hours worked and role‑specific criteria. The RN per ET visit range is $70.64 to $91.32 and the RN NSWOC hourly rate is $42.50 to $51.47.
WhatThe Role Involves
- Use knowledge of assessment, prevention, and interventions for wound infections and ostomy care.
- Provide care to patients with wounds, ostomy, continence; perform lower‑leg assessment including ABPIs.
- Critically appraise literature and apply evidence to practice.
- Provide classifications and indications for utilization to reduce visit frequency and improve outcomes.
- Practice conservative sharp wound debridement (CSWD) and other debridement methods.
- Offer edema management with bandaging based on complete assessment.
- Monitor criteria for adjunctive therapy for complex or recalcitrant wounds.
- Ensure practice aligns with policy, standards, and patient safety protocols.
- Perform a holistic assessment, identify client needs using information from the client, caregiver, and environment.
- Act as a member of the nursing team accountable for patient care.
- Develop time‑specific, measurable goals and outcomes with client and/or caregiver, aligned with Ontario Health at Home goals.
- Registered Nurse (RN) diploma.
- Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO) in good standing.
- Graduate of Nurses Specialized in Wound, Ostomy & Continence Canada (NSWOCC, formerly CAET). CNA exam may be pending.
- Several years of escalating experience managing wounds and ostomies.
- Robust desire and commitment to making a difference in patient lives.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills.
- Valid driver’s license and vehicle (regular travel required).
- Excellent English verbal and written communication skills.
- CPR certification.
- Current immunization record including a 2‑step TB test.
- Current vulnerable sector check and a clear background check.
