Position: Temporary Registered Nurse for OR at GMCH
GROVES MEMORIAL COMMUNITY HOSPITAL is seeking a temporary part time Registered Nurse for the Operating Room. Ideal candidates will provide thorough nursing care in various surgical settings including Endoscopy and Day Surgery.

This part time nurse role emphasizes critical thinking and organizational skills within GMCH's Operating Room. Candidates must hold a Post Graduate Course in Perioperative Nursing and have 1-3 years of relevant experience. Responsibilities include working in the OR, as well as in Day Surgery and Post Anaesthetic Care Unit on a rotating schedule, requiring flexibility for on-call duties.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care in the Operating Room

• Engage in effective communication with patients and staff

• Participate in rotating shifts and on-call duties

• Assist in maintaining patient safety and care standards

• Facilitate departmental educational initiatives

Requirements:

• Valid registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO)

• Minimum of 1-3 years of OR experience

• Current certifications in BCLS, ACLS, and PALS

• Willingness to work in various surgical settings

• Strong commitment to continuing education and professional development
