NORTH WELLINGTON HEALTH CARE is hiring a casual Registered Nurse for the Oncology unit at Louise Marshall Hospital. This position focuses on patient assessments and chemotherapy education.
This oncology nursing role requires proficiency in patient care, including administering chemotherapy and providing supportive services in the medical day care setting. You'll also engage in developing treatment plans and conducting quality improvement processes. This position is vital for both patient support and program development.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assess patients and families for oncology needs
• Administer chemotherapy and participate in teaching
• Lead activities for the medical day care program
• Develop and implement patient treatment plans
• Engage in quality improvement and research initiatives
Requirements:
• Active registration with Ontario's College of Nurses
• Completion of Chemotherapy and Biotherapy Course required
• Experience with medical procedures related to oncology
• Current BCLS certification and computer literacy
• Demonstrated leadership and effective communication skills
Offer compassionate care and comprehensive support to oncology patients at Louise Marshall Hospital.
