Registered Nurse Long Term Care

Registered Nurses at Barn swallow Place Care Community provide resident assessment and skilled nursing care in Elmira. Support seniors with dignity, comfort, and respect.
Reporting to the Director of Care, this Registered Nurse assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates resident care. The position includes medication administration, skilled procedures, documentation, and collaboration with residents or substitute decision makers. Nursing care follows provincial requirements, quality management standards, and Sienna Senior Living practices.

Key Responsibilities:

Assess and plan resident needs and nursing care
Administer medications and perform skilled procedures
Document care according to required standards
Develop and evaluate resident care goals
Participate in interdisciplinary resident care conferences
Requirements:
BScN, BN, or equivalent nursing education
Current provincial Registered Nurse registration
Knowledge of geriatric nursing care trends
Effective verbal and written English communication
Administrative, computer, interpersonal, and teamwork skills
