We are currently looking for an Animal Care Specialist to join our Housing Team. Reporting to the Animal Care Supervisor, the successful candidate must have a good knowledge of livestock care and be physically capable of handling large bulls. Hay, silage and manure handling are part of the regular job duties. This is an in‑person role requiring 5 days per week in our Guelph location.

The working hours of the role are Monday to Friday 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM, with rotating weekends, on a 6 month contract.

This position offers a minimum starting hourly wage of $21.00 with potential compensation enhancements based on applicable experience and qualifications.

• Semen Collection
• Feeding and caring for bulls
• Operating farm equipment
• Seasonal crop work
• Mechanical and manual barn cleaning

• Ability and experience operating farm equipment; solid mechanical aptitude
• Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team
• A high school diploma
• A valid driver’s license
• Strong agricultural experience, including handling and caring for livestock

• Learning and development catalog and opportunities
• Social committee lead events
