Existing Compensation: $18.00 to $25.00 per hour, depending on experience and skills Burgess Animal Hospital, together with Kortright Animal Hospital, welcome a full-time Veterinary Receptionist, Assistant to join our teams in a dual and share role.

• Creating a Warm Welcome:
  Greeting our patients and pet parents with empathy and care, ensuring they feel welcomed, supported, and appreciated from the moment they walk in.
• Managing Hospital Communication:
  Serving as our front-line voice by answering multi-line phones and managing client and referring veterinarian emails.
• Coordinating Appointments:
  Proactively booking visits, scheduling follow-ups, and making outbound calls to keep our patient care on track.
• Handling Financial Transactions:
  Guiding pet owners through the invoicing and billing process with clarity and compassion, confirming estimates, and processing payments.
• Maintaining a Comforting Space:
  Keeping our reception lobby and common areas clean, tidy, and welcoming for both pets and their families.
• Supporting Our Clinical Team:
  Assisting our veterinary staff with treatments and tasks while eagerly learning new medical office procedures and veterinary skills.
• Shift-sharing between other VCA Canada hospital locations may be required.

• Previous client services experience and/or Veterinary industry exposure is welcome!
