Advance agricultural knowledge as OSCIA's On-Farm Research & Agronomy Coordinator in Guelph, Ontario. Connect farmers and researchers to facilitate essential on-farm research trials.
This full-time position, supporting the Living Lab – Ontario initiative, combines practical agricultural skills and research expertise. You will coordinate various field trials and manage relationships with cooperators and project partners while overseeing data quality. The role requires strong communication and organizational skills to ensure efficient trial execution and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
• Coordinate field-scale agronomy trial activities and data collection
• Engage with farmers to oversee effective research execution
• Monitor quality control and data accuracy
• Manage project schedules and deliverables
• Facilitate the dissemination of research findings
Requirements:
• Post-secondary qualification in agronomy or related discipline
• 2-5 years of practical agronomy experience
• Excellent communication skills with stakeholders
• Strong organizational capabilities in a research setting
• Valid Driver's license; travel may be required
