Fire Prevention & Public Education Leader

Reporting directly to the Fire Chief, you will guide the Fire Prevention and Public Education division, developing comprehensive programs throughout the community. Your experience will be essential as you make public presentations, oversee fire inspections, and approve safety plans while ensuring compliance with fire safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and deliver fire prevention and public safety programs
• Lead fire prevention inspections for various building types
• Review and approve fire safety plans for compliance
• Conduct investigations into fire causes and maintain reports
• Oversee the Township’s Burning Permit program for safety compliance
Requirements:
• Post-secondary education in Emergency Services Management
• Minimum of five years in a senior fire service role
• Strong knowledge of fire prevention legislation and techniques
• Effective communication and presentation skills
• Valid DZ driver’s license with a clean record
Drive community engagement and safety with progressive fire education and prevention efforts.
