Join the University of Guelph as a Sexual and Gender-Based Violence Support Coordinator. Provide vital support to student survivors while fostering a supportive campus environment.
This pivotal role is part of the Student Wellness Services department, directly reporting to the Associate Director. The coordinator offers front-line support, educates staff and faculty, and collaborates across departments to enhance understanding of sexual and gender-based violence. With both on-campus and virtual responsibilities, you will make a significant impact on students' well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
• Serve as the primary contact for student support cases
• Conduct training for staff and faculty on best practices
• Assess and manage urgent crisis interventions
• Provide practical and emotional support to students
• Coordinate accommodation requests for survivors
Requirements:
• Master’s in Social Work or equivalent experience
• Minimum 3 years working with sexual violence survivors
• Knowledge of trauma-informed support practices
• Experience with crisis intervention strategies
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
