Become an integral part of the Upper Grand District School Board as a full-time Communicative Disorders Assistant in Guelph. Support students with Augmentative and Alternative Communication and collaborate with educators for effective learning experiences.
The UGDSB seeks a dedicated Communicative Disorders Assistant for its Student Support Services team. This full-time position involves direct student support, including the implementation of communication programs and assisting Speech-Language Pathologists. Candidates should bring experience with augmentative communication systems and a commitment to child development.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide AAC support and create communication aids
• Assist Speech-Language Pathologists with classroom activities
• Implement speech and language programs for students
• Prepare lesson plans and document student progress
• Other duties assigned as necessary
Requirements:
• CDA diploma or equivalent education
• Experience with child development and speech disorders
• Proficient with communication technology and systems
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Deliver impactful communication support and foster student growth within the UGDSB community.
