Become a crucial team member at Stepping Stone as a Life Skills Worker. This important position focuses on providing support to individuals transitioning from homelessness to stable housing through skill development.
In your role, you'll assist clients facing mental health hurdles and substance misuse by fostering independence through tailored support. Responsibilities include fostering life skills, organizing community activities, and managing daily living tasks. Your unique skills will have a direct impact on clients’ abilities to integrate into the community successfully.
Key Responsibilities:
• Support independent living through life skills coaching
• Engage in community inclusion and support of group activities
• Maintain accurate documentation in HIFIS data management systems
• Assist with nutrition and hygiene needs for clients
• Conduct safety and building checks regularly
Requirements:
• Proven experience in case management and supportive roles
• Strong communication and empathy skills
• Familiarity with electronic record-keeping systems
• Current First Aid and CPR certifications required
• Ability to work within diverse community contexts
