Position: Complex Mental Health Social Worker Role
Drive student mental health support at UGDSB as a Complex Mental Health Social Worker. Engage with school teams to develop strategies for students' complex mental health needs.

UGDSB is seeking an experienced social worker for its Student Support Services team. This temporary full-time role focuses on implementing strengths-based, trauma-informed practices in diverse school settings. Collaboration with multidisciplinary teams and families is key to effectively addressing student needs in various locations within the Board.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with school staff on intervention strategies

• Provide consultations to families facing systemic barriers

• Complete referrals and maintain partnerships with agencies

• Deliver trauma-informed individual/group interventions

• Engage in crisis intervention and VTRA responsibilities

Requirements:

• Master of Social Work Degree (MSW) required

• 3-5 years working with school-aged children

• Knowledge of complex mental health issues

• Ability to build relationships across systems

• Valid driver's license for travel across regions
