Peer Support Specialist in Crisis Care

Join Stonehenge as a Peer Support Specialist, providing vital crisis support based on personal recovery experiences. This full-time role focuses on client stabilization and service navigation.

As a Peer Supporter, you will work in the Crisis Stabilization program, assisting individuals with mental health and substance use challenges. Collaborating with an interdisciplinary team, you will utilize best practices to foster resilience and help clients navigate community resources while promoting their wellness goals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Engage clients through sharing lived experiences

• Support crisis intervention and risk management plans

• Facilitate educational support groups

• Conduct environment checks and monitor client wellness

• Participate in program development and evaluation

Requirements:

• Proven lived experience in addiction recovery

• Relevant education in social services or addictions

• Frontline crisis management capabilities

• Ontario driver’s license and reliable transportation

• Certification in First Aid/CPR Level C
