Now Hiring Residential Drivers for our Mount Forest, ON site!
Starting Wage: $31.71/hour.
Start time:
Morning Shift - 5:40 am, 11 hours per day. Afternoon shift - 11 am, 9 hours a day.
Mondays – Fridays, and a few statutory holidays, some of which might fall on a Saturday.
Loading is Manual
Responsibilities- Operate heavy-duty trucks with front, side, or rear-end load lift attachments as required by the line of business and truck type.
- Transport material to disposal, transfer, or recycle facilities when trucks reach legal load capacity.
- Provide pick-up service of containers filled with waste or recyclable material; containers may weigh in excess of 1,000 pounds and may require maneuvering wheeled containers to a pick-up stage area.
- Navigate high-traffic roadways, driveways, alleyways, and lots; perform highly skilled backing maneuvers.
- Residential drivers: collect residential household waste or recyclable material and safely maneuver vehicles in residential environments.
- Roll-off drivers: prepare, load, and transport large mobile open-top and compactor containers from customer locations; may operate in tight overhead environments on industrial routes.
- Follow route assignments, complete end-of-day documentation and check-out processes, and assist other drivers as needed to meet customer needs.
- Report unsafe situations, service-related issues, incidents, accidents, injuries, or property damage promptly to the Operations Manager or Dispatch.
- Communicate customer requests to Operations Manager or Dispatch and ensure receptacles are emptied and the location is left clean and debris-free.
- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada with a valid SIN.
- Hold a current DZ or Class 3 license or higher. The CDL is a requirement; applicants must be at least 18 years of age.
- Successfully complete pre-employment drug screen, physical, and background check, including previous employment check and motor vehicle record review.
- Acceptable driving record required.
- Successful candidates often have outdoor physical labor experience in all weathers; this experience is preferred.

Pay:
The expected base pay range for this position across Canada is $31.71 hourly. This range is a good-faith estimate and may be influenced by factors such as experience, education, certifications, qualifications, and location. This position is for an existing vacancy.
