TPF Recruitment is proud to be working with a highly regarded accountancy practice in Guildford that is seeking an experienced Bookkeeper to join their team.

You will be responsible for delivering accurate, timely bookkeeping services across a varied portfolio of clients. Day-to-day responsibilities include:

• Maintaining accurate financial records and reconciling accounts
• Managing sales and purchase ledgers and the nominal ledger up to trial balance
• Handling bank reconciliations and processing client transactions
• Preparing VAT returns and other compliance-related tasks
• Liaising professionally with clients to address queries and request documentation
• Supporting the wider team with general accounting duties

This role offers the chance to work autonomously while being part of a supportive team environment.

What We Are Looking For

• Solid bookkeeping experience, ideally from a practice environment or as a self‑employed professional
• Confidence using accounting software such as Xero, Sage, Quick Books or similar
• Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
• A proactive and client‑centric approach
• A bookkeeping or accountancy qualification (eg AAT) or relevant experience
