Part Time Bookkeeper

Position: Part Time Bookkeeper 6 Months Contract
Part Time 6 month FTC Bookkeeper Office based in Clacton. 25 to 30 hours per week. Senior Accounts Assistant (Part-Time, 25-30 hrs) - 6 Month FTC

A well-established organisation is seeking a highly organised Bookkeeper to join its finance team on a 6-month maternity cover basis. This is a varied, hands-on role in a busy accounts function, ideal for someone with strong technical knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to meet deadlines.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage HMRC payments and VAT returns Process purchase and sales ledger transactions Reconcile supplier statements, bank accounts, credit cards, and ledgers. Maintain accurate bookkeeping and financial records Prepare journals, month-end processes, and assist with management accounts Handle payroll-related admin (Bright Pay/Bright

HR) Manage foreign currency payments and fixed assets Support audit preparation Provide cover and guidance for Accounts Assistant duties

About You:

Proven experience in a similar accounts role Strong knowledge of accounting processes and compliance

Experience with Sage 50, Bright Pay, and Bright

HR Intermediate to advanced Excel skills Excellent organisation, accuracy, and ability to meet tight deadlines Proactive team player with the ability to work independently AAT (or equivalent) preferred Benefits:
