This is an opportunity to join a highly regarded independent Accountancy practice that works as a genuine adviser to ambitious business owners. The OpportunityAs an Audit & Accounts Senior, you'll work closely with Managers and Partners, supporting a diverse portfolio of clients ranging from growing owner-managed businesses and SMEs through to more complex group structures and international entities.
You'll be involved in key client conversations, helping business owners navigate important commercial decisions while developing your own technical and advisory skills.
This role offers a genuine blend of audit, accounts and client advisory exposure, making it ideal for someone who enjoys variety and wants to broaden their experience.
What You'll Be Doing- Preparing statutory accounts, management accounts and ad-hoc financial reports.
- Planning, leading and completing audit assignments from start to finish.
- Managing multiple assignments and ensuring deadlines are consistently achieved.
- Working directly with clients and becoming a trusted day-to-day contact.
- Supporting Managers and Partners with advisory projects and client initiatives.
- Delegating work to trainees and junior staff while providing mentoring and guidance.
- Reviewing processes and identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and add value for clients.
- Contributing to a collaborative team environment focused on exceptional client service.
- ACA or ACCA qualified.
- Strong experience gained within UK accountancy practice.
- Audit experience is highly desirable, although candidates with strong accounts backgrounds and an interest in developing audit skills will also be considered.
- Experience managing assignments from planning through to completion.
- Commercially minded with strong analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
- Comfortable working both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Experience with cloud accounting software such as Xero, Quick Books or similar would be advantageous.
