Fletcher George is recruiting an experienced Accounts and Audit Senior for a highly respected and growing firm of Chartered Accountants in the Guildford area of Surrey.

This is an excellent opportunity for an ACA or ACCA Qualified Accountant, or an experienced finalist approaching qualification, who enjoys the variety of both audit and accounts work within an accountancy practice.

For an experienced Audit Senior or Accounts and Audit Senior looking to continue developing their career in practice, the role offers interesting client work, responsibility, hybrid and flexible working and genuine scope for progression.

Working with a varied portfolio of clients across a broad range of sectors, your responsibilities will include:

• Planning, leading and completing audit assignments from planning through to completion.
• Preparing statutory accounts for limited companies under FRS 102 and UK GAAP.
• Reviewing accounts and audit work as your experience develops.
• Supervising, mentoring and reviewing the work of junior team members.
• Supporting the professional development of trainees and junior accountants.
• Ensuring audit and accounts assignments are completed efficiently and in accordance with current accounting and auditing standards.
• Building strong working relationships with clients.
• Becoming involved in additional client projects and advisory work as your experience develops.

To be considered for this Accounts and Audit Senior position in Guildford, you will ideally:

• Be ACA or ACCA qualified, equivalent, or approaching qualification.
• Have recent experience working within a UK accountancy practice.
• Have experience of planning and completing audit assignments.
• Be confident preparing statutory accounts for limited companies.
• Have a good understanding of FRS 102 and UK GAAP.
• Be comfortable managing your own workload and meeting client deadlines.
• Have strong communication skills and enjoy building effective client relationships.
• Enjoy supporting and developing junior colleagues.
