Tax Manager

Tax Manager | Guildford | 50,000+We’re working with a fast-growing, multi-office accountancy and advisory firm with a strong presence across Surrey and Sussex, looking to appoint a Tax Manager into their Guildford office.

This is a fantastic opportunity to take ownership of a diverse portfolio of clients, working closely with owner-managed businesses and individuals, delivering both compliance and advisory services.

The Role You’ll manage your own portfolio while playing a key role in developing client relationships and supporting the wider tax team.

Key responsibilities include:

Managing a portfolio of personal and corporate tax clients (predominantly OMBs)
Delivering high-quality tax compliance and advisory services

Advising on inheritance tax, capital gains tax, estate planning and R&DReviewing tax computations and compliance work prepared by junior staff

Acting as a key point of contact for clients and HMRCSupporting and developing junior team members

Managing workloads, deadlines and project delivery

Contributing to business development and client growth

About YouATT qualified (CTA desirable)
Strong background within an accountancy practice environment

Experience across personal tax compliance with some corporate/advisory exposure

Up-to-date knowledge of UK tax legislation

Confident managing client relationships and handling queries independently

Experience reviewing work and supporting junior team members

Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
