PDI Technician

Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated PDI Technician to join a reputable dealership in Guildford. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified automotive professional to develop their career within a supportive and forward-thinking environment.

• Competitive basic salary of £32,000 per annum, with an on-target earning of up to £38,000
• Working hours Monday to Friday, 8.30am - 5.00pm, with no weekend work
• 22 days holiday plus bank holidays, increasing with length of service
• Full manufacturer training, including IMI or City & Guilds Level 3 certification

• Conduct pre-delivery inspections (PDI) on new and used vehicles, ensuring quality standards are met
• Prepare part-exchange vehicles for retail sale, maintaining dealership standards
• Assist with sales preparation to ensure vehicles are retail-ready
• Collaborate with technicians to support efficient workshop operations
• Maintain high customer satisfaction through the delivery of quality work
• Complete documentation accurately and adhere to health and safety guidelines

• Level 3 qualification in MOT testing and vehicle repairs
• Proven experience in pre-delivery inspections and sales preparation
• Positive attitude and team‑player mentality
• Clean driving licence with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Good communication skills and willingness to learn
• Certifications in IMI or City & Guilds Level 3 required prior to start
