MOT Tester Required for Car Dealer Group - Guildford

Pay: £34,000 Basic + Bonus

Hours:

40 hours per week Monday – Friday – 8‑5.30 pm and Saturdays on a rota

Are you an experienced MOT Tester seeking a new opportunity with a reputable car dealership group? We are currently recruiting for a dedicated MOT Tester to join their busy workshop in Guildford. This is a fantastic chance to work in a well‑established team, providing essential vehicle inspection and maintenance services. Duties:
  • Conducting MOT tests in compliance with manufacturer guidelines and legal requirements as an MOT Tester
  • Performing vehicle health checks, including tyre pressure, lights, mechanical, and electrical systems
  • Carrying out routine vehicle inspections and pre‑delivery checks for new and used cars
  • Carrying out minor repairs and servicing duties
  • Completing all relevant documentation accurately and promptly
  • Providing excellent customer service by explaining work carried out and advising on necessary repairs or vehicle issues
  • Supporting the workshop team with additional maintenance tasks as required
Requirements:
  • Minimum NVQ Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent technical qualification
  • Valid MOT Licence
  • Full UK driving licence with a clean driving record
  • Proven experience as an MOT Tester or automotive technician, ideally within a dealership or reputable garage
  • Self‑motivated, detail‑oriented, and committed to high standards in vehicle workmanship
  • Strong communication skills and a team‑focused attitude
