Opportunity for Experienced MOT Tester, Join a Leading Dealership in Guildford!
- Salary:
Up to £34,000 basic + bonus potential of approximately £40,000
- Hours:
40 hours per week, Monday to Friday (8:00 am - 5:30 pm), with Saturdays on a rota
Our client, a reputable car dealership group in Guildford, is seeking a highly skilled MOT Tester to join their well-established workshop. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced automotive professionals to work within a supportive team environment, delivering high standards of vehicle inspection and maintenance services.

- Conduct MOT tests in alignment with manufacturer guidelines and legal standards as an MOT Tester
- Perform comprehensive vehicle health checks, including tyre pressures, lights, and electrical and mechanical systems
- Carry out routine inspections and pre-delivery checks on both new and used vehicles
- Execute minor repairs, servicing, and maintenance work as required
- Complete all documentation accurately and promptly, ensuring compliance
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining work carried out and advising on vehicle repairs or issues
- Support the workshop team with additional maintenance tasks when needed
- NVQ Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent qualification
- Valid MOT Licence
- Full UK driving licence with a clean driving record
- Proven experience as an MOT Tester or automotive technician, ideally within a dealership or reputable garage
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and committed to delivering high-quality workmanship
- Strong communication skills and team-focused attitude
