Our client, a well-established main contractor renowned for delivering high-quality refurbishment projects across Surrey and the surrounding regions, is seeking a talented Quantity Surveyor to join their growing commercial team. This is an excellent opportunity for a driven QS looking to take ownership of exciting projects and progress within a supportive, ambitious business.

The Role

As a Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for managing the commercial aspects of multiple refurbishment schemes, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget. You’ll work closely with project teams, subcontractors, and senior management to maintain cost control and contribute to the smooth running of operations.

Key Responsibilities

* Manage cost planning, budgeting, and forecasting for refurbishment projects

* Prepare valuations, variations, and final accounts

* Oversee procurement, tendering, and subcontractor management

* Liaise with clients, consultants, and the site team

* Ensure compliance with contract terms and commercial best practices

* Identify and mitigate commercial risks

Requirements

* Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the construction sector

* Background in refurbishment projects is highly advantageous

* Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills

* Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

* Excellent communication and reporting skills

* Degree in Quantity Surveying or similar (preferred)
