Position: Construction Manager (Permanent)
Construction Manager - Guildford

£70,000-£75,000

Advance TRS are supporting a leading contractor who are looking for a driven Construction Manager to strengthen our team across the Thames Water region, working from London & Guildford (with potential hybrid working). Reporting to the Operations Manager, you'll take full ownership of construction delivery - championing safety, performance, sustainability and innovation across major water sector programmes.

The Role

You'll lead site construction teams to deliver projects on time, on budget, and to exceptional quality standards. From kick-off to completion, you'll ensure Health, Safety, Environmental and Sustainability compliance while driving best practice and continuous improvement.

What you'll be doing:

Leading site teams across designated project portfolios
Owning supplier performance across Safety, Time & Quality
Approving RAMS and ensuring robust compliance
Driving Constructability Reviews & Project Rehearsals
Embedding zero waste and carbon reduction initiatives
Managing resource planning (labour, plant & materials)
Ensuring CDM and H&S compliance where teams feel empowered and safe
Raising contractual and commercial notices proactively
Championing innovation and industry-leading techniques

About You

You're delivery-focused, commercially astute and confident leading multi-disciplinary teams on large-scale programmes.

You'll bring:

Degree (or equivalent) in Construction-related discipline
APMP (or equivalent)
Temporary Works qualification/experience
Strong project and programme management background

Experience with in water/wastewater treatment
In-depth knowledge of CDM and construction H&S
Excellent communication skills with clients and stakeholders
Proven ability to set targets and motivate teams
