Highways Surfacing Supervisor

We're working with a respected contractor delivering a prestigious highways surfacing programme across Surrey. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Surfacing Supervisor to step into a key role overseeing works on a freelance basis, with flexibility through CIS or LTD payment options.

As a Highways Surfacing Supervisor, you'll take responsibility for managing day‑to‑day surfacing operations on site. You'll oversee crews, ensure works are delivered safely and to specification, and coordinate with site teams and stakeholders to maintain programme timelines. This role requires a proactive approach to problem‑solving, strong leadership on site, and a commitment to maintaining high standards across all works.

• Proven experience as a Surfacing Supervisor within highways projects
• Strong knowledge of asphalt and surfacing operations
• Valid SSSTS or SMSTS certification
• CSCS card (essential)
• Good understanding of health & safety regulations and site compliance
• Ability to manage teams and coordinate site activities effectively
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• Full UK driving licence
