Different disciplines, different backgrounds, different voices, all contributing to the outstanding narratives of our next projects for decades to come. As the Director of this department, you are the creative filter.
Only the best pitches, outlines and concepts get your greenlight. If you have experience finding, crafting, and elevating compelling ideas into impactful stories, this is a unique opportunity to help us define the creative core our future projects
- Act as the creative authority on story approval and development within the department
- Mentor the creative skills of a dedicated storytelling team, ensuring strong direction and oversight
- Evaluate, refine, and approve narrative pitches, storylines, characters, and settings
- Maintain narrative quality across multiple projects, formats and genres
- Foster a shared narrative culture
- 10+ years experience in story development, narrative direction, or creative leadership (e.g. holding positions such as Show runner, Narrative Director, Editor-in-Chief)
- History of creating and developing award winning stories
- Passion and deep understanding of what makes a compelling narrative across multiple genres
- Track record of finishing scripts through a combination of providing feedback and hands-on edits
- Portfolio demonstrates exceptional character development, with memorable casts and impactful arcs
- An engaging communicator who can inspire confidence, enthusiasm, and shared ownership of a narrative
- An international team of over 500 employees spread across 7 studios around the world, each of which have their own unique qualities, and maintain a small-studio feel
- An open, collaborative environment where ideas are welcome and encouraged
- A managerial team consisting of highly experienced game developers at the top of their fields
- Sharing hobbies and passions with like-minded colleagues
- Inclusive environment with many activities organized by the studios or the employees
- Commitment to making the best game possible for the fans, including listening to community feedback
