Associate​/Senior Architect​/Urban Designer

LB Design Recruitment is pleased to be partnered with an award-winning, multi-disciplinary architectural practice renowned for delivering large-scale residential and development projects is seeking an Associate / Senior Architect / Urban Designer to join their Southern region team in Guildford. This is a unique opportunity to lead and grow a regional hub focused on planning and delivery of residential-led schemes across the south and east of England.

• Lead and oversee delivery of projects from the Southern region.
• Develop new business opportunities from existing and new clients.
• Assist with fee forecasting, proposals, budgeting and programming of projects.
• Maintain and structure the regional CAD system to ensure consistent standards.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture or closely related field.
• 8+ years’ experience within an UK architectural practice, with a strong focus on large-scale residential and master planning schemes.
• Proven track record delivering housing projects for national house builders, land promoters and regional developers, securing allocations and planning consents.
• Experience liaising with local planning authorities and clients in the South and East of England.

• Senior-level salary, competitive and based on experience.
• Hybrid working: 4 days in Guildford office, 1 day WFH.
• 23 days holiday plus Christmas shutdown (2–3 days) and bank holidays.

• Applicants must have proof of eligibility to work in the UK and live within a commutable distance to Guildford.
• The studio is a 15-minute walk from the main line station and Guildford (London Road) train station is just 5 minutes away.
• Candidates must hold a valid driving licence and be prepared to travel occasionally for site visits.
