Consultant in Critical Care Transfer (ARCC KSS)

We are excited to welcome applications for Consultants to join the new Adult Critical Care Transfer team (ACCTS) in Kent, Surrey & Sussex (KSS). This exciting new service, known as ARCC KSS, is hosted by RSFT and will strive to provide a high standard of clinical to adult patients requiring inter-hospital transfers across the region and into London for reasons such as escalation of care, repatriation, capacity and continuation of care.

Consultants in Critical Care Transfer are doctors on the GMC Specialist Register for Intensive Care Medicine (ICM) or Anaesthesia or a both, who will work with Transfer Practitioners (TPs) and Emergency Care Support Workers (ECSWs) as part of the ARCC Clinical Transfer Team.

Applications are welcomed from Consultant and Specialists with alternative specialist registration, but you may be appointed with restrictions.

The ARCC clinical transfer team will deliver high-quality, safe and effective care whilst undertaking inter-hospital transfers primarily across KSS but into neighbouring regions on occasion. The Transfer Consultant provides support, care and necessary clinical interventions to patients in the hospital and transfer environment, using appropriate skills and equipment, ensuring they are transferred efficiently and safely to a facility which is best suited to provide treatment for their on-going clinical needs.
