Locum Consultant in Cardiology

We are seeking an experienced Locum Consultant Cardiologist to join our dynamic and collaborative cardiology team on a fixed‑term basis of 6 months. This is a 2 PA per week post, focused exclusively on supporting our established Cardiac MRI (CMR) service. The successful applicant will hold independent Level III accreditation in CMR reporting (SCMR/ESC) and will join a department of 5 full‑time consultants, 1 part‑time consultant, and 2 Associate Specialists, 2 of whom currently support the CMR service.

• Independently reporting and signing off CMR scans (adult, stress and ACHD)
• Attending the weekly CMR multidisciplinary team meeting (Thursdays, 14:00-15:00)
• Contributing to triaging and protocol ling of CMR referrals and troubleshooting bookings and radiographer issues.
• Participating in clinical audit, appraisal and job planning
• Contributing to undergraduate and postgraduate teaching and the educational supervision of junior medical staff
• Supporting service development and quality improvement initiatives
