SEN Teaching Assistant

Our School

We are seeking to appoint a Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant to join our supportive and dedicated school team. Chilworth C of E Infant and Nursery School is a popular and well-resourced one-form entry school in the heart of Chilworth Village, just outside Guildford. The successful candidate will provide an enhanced ratio in our nursery to support an SEN child for 22.5 hours a week, working alongside our nursery team.

We are privileged to be in an area of outstanding beauty and our school is set in extensive grounds. We have a strong commitment to providing all pupils with regular access to outdoor learning and forest school opportunities. This is facilitated by having outdoor classroom areas, fabulous hard and soft surfaced play areas, as well as direct access to our surrounding woodlands.

Salary and Hours
  • The role is for 22.5 hours per week, 38.6 weeks per year i.e. term-time only.
  • Surrey Pay grade 3:
    Salary £12,950 (Full Time Equivalent £24,330).

    Start date:

    13 April 2026.
