SEND Support Worker – School Based (Young People)
Location: Guildford, Surrey
Salary: Day rate – £107.00-£115.00 (dependent on experience)
Contract: Full-time & Part-time Opportunities Available

The RoleAs a SEND Support Worker, you’ll work closely with teachers and school staff to provide tailored support for students with a range of additional needs. Your role will be vital in creating a positive, inclusive learning environment where every child can thrive.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting students on a 1:1 basis and in small groups.
- Assisting pupils with autism (ASC), ADHD, learning difficulties, SEMH, speech and language needs, and other additional needs.
- Encouraging independence, confidence, and positive behaviour.
- Supporting students both in the classroom and during wider school activities.
- Working alongside teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals to deliver personalised support.
- Building positive relationships with students, staff, and families.
- Promoting safeguarding and the wellbeing of every young person.
We’re keen to hear from people who have experience in:
- SEND support within schools.
- Youth work.
- Residential childcare.
- Care or support work.
- Mental health support.
- Sports coaching.
- Community or voluntary work with young people.
You’ll also have:

- The ability to adapt to individual student needs.

- Experience working with children or young people (preferred but not essential).
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one.
- Two professional references covering the last two years.
