We are seeking a dynamic, qualified English Teacher to join our dedicated faculty in Guildford. The successful candidate will deliver the National Curriculum to Key Stages 3-5, fostering a love of literature, critical thinking, and effective communication skills. You will plan and implement engaging lessons, assess student progress, and contribute to a supportive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities- Design and deliver high‑quality English lessons across a range of abilities.
- Prepare clear, constructive assessments and provide timely feedback.
- Manage classroom dynamics to promote respect, motivation, and academic achievement.
- Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and curriculum planning.
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding student progress.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Bachelor’s degree in English, Literature, or a related field (Postgraduate qualification preferred).
- Proven experience teaching English at secondary level (or equivalent).
- Strong knowledge of current pedagogical practices and assessment methods.
- Ability to integrate digital resources and innovative teaching strategies.
