We’re looking to recruit a new Sociology Teacher to join our Academic Studies Faculty at Guildford College to teach GCSE and A-level Sociology.

• Teach GCSE and A-level Sociology to a diverse range of learners
• Contribute to the development of the curriculum and resources for Sociology
• Participate in departmental meetings, parent evenings, and school events
• Support extracurricular activities or clubs related to Sociology
• Act as a role model for students, inspiring them to achieve professional qualifications and develop transferable workplace attributes

• Genuine interest in working with and developing young people
• Ability to teach on GCSE and A-Level Sociology courses
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workloads
• Previous teaching experience or qualification is advantageous but not required; training, development and support are provided to enable teaching in the FE sector

We provide a comprehensive onboarding process, including a mandatory three-day induction programme and a one-day Introduction to Teaching session. We support ongoing professional development through an in-house learning and development team.
