As a Learning Support Assistant
, you'll play a key role in helping pupils overcome barriers to learning by providing tailored support throughout the school day. Working alongside experienced teachers, therapists, and support staff, you'll help create an engaging, inclusive, and nurturing environment where every pupil can succeed.

You'll be supporting pupils with a variety of needs, including:

• Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC)
• Moderate and Severe Learning Difficulties (MLD/SLD)
• Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN)
• Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs
• Physical disabilities and complex learning needs

• Supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups.
• Encouraging participation and engagement in lessons and activities.
• Promoting communication, independence, and confidence.
• Supporting positive behaviour using individual strategies.
• Assisting with sensory, practical, and therapeutic activities where appropriate.
• Supporting pupils during break times, lunchtime, and educational visits.
• Working collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, therapists, and families to support pupil progress.
• Helping to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
