Milk Education is currently recruiting passionate and dedicated SEND Teaching Assistants to support specialist SEND schools across Guildford and the surrounding Surrey areas

Working Hours & FlexibilityMost roles follow a typical school-day schedule of 8:30am-3:30pm, Monday to Friday

- Part-Time Roles: Flexible working patterns across selected days.
- Ad-Hoc Cover: Ideal for candidates looking for flexibility alongside other commitments.
As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will be supporting pupils within specialist SEND settings, helping them to access learning and develop essential life skills.
Your responsibilities may include:- Providing 1:1 and small group support for pupils with additional needs, including Autism (ASD), ADHD, SEMH, and complex learning needs.
- Supporting teachers with the delivery of engaging lessons and activities.
- Helping implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and personalised support strategies.
- Creating a safe, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment.
- Using positive behaviour support strategies to encourage confidence, independence, and emotional regulation.
- Building strong relationships with pupils to support their academic, social, and emotional development.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
Previous experience working with children, young people, or vulnerable adults (education, care, youth work, coaching, or similar backgrounds welcomed). An Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one. A patient, resilient, and caring approach with a genuine passion for supporting young people.
