Lead Performance Analyst | Harlequins Women (Jobs in Sports Performance Analysis TheASPA)

Harlequins Women are seeking an experienced Lead Performance Analyst to lead the club's Performance Analysis programme, supporting coaching, player development and team performance within one of England's leading women's rugby environments.

Working closely with the Head Coach and multidisciplinary performance team, you'll deliver objective performance insights, oversee match and training analysis, drive innovation and play a key role in shaping the team's performance culture.

The Role

As Lead Performance Analyst
, you’ll be responsible for leading all aspects of performance analysis across the Women's programme, delivering high-quality analysis that informs coaching, enhances player development and supports evidence-based decision-making.

You’ll also mentor developing analysts and placement students while contributing to player recruitment and the continued evolution of the club’s analysis systems and workflows.

Performance Analysis
  • Lead and develop the Women's Performance Analysis programme.
  • Coordinate weekly performance review meetings and player-facing analysis.
  • Deliver objective performance insights to support coaching, planning and selection.
  • Produce detailed opposition analysis aligned with the club's playing identity.
  • Lead post-match reviews, identifying key trends and performance indicators.
Matchday & Training Support
  • Lead all live matchday analysis operations.
  • Film, code and analyse training sessions.
  • Deliver timely feedback to coaches and players.
  • Support individual player development through detailed performance reviews and Individual Development Plans (IDPs).
Technology & Innovation
  • Manage all performance analysis software, video platforms and data systems.
  • Drive innovation in analysis processes, technology and insight delivery.
  • Produce recruitment video packages and performance reports when required.
Leadership
  • Line manage, mentor and develop analysts, interns and placement students.
  • Collaborate closely with coaches and multidisciplinary staff to embed analysis throughout the performance programme.

Applicants should demonstrate:

  • Undergraduate degree in Performance Analysis, Sports Science or a related discipline.
  • Minimum three years' experience in an elite or high-performance performance analysis role.
  • Strong experience using Hudl Sports code, Power BI and other analysis platforms.
  • Ability to transform complex performance data into clear, actionable insights.
  • Strong understanding of the coaching process and applied performance analysis.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.
  • Outstanding organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Postgraduate qualification (MSc/MRes) in Performance Analysis or a related discipline.
