School Office Assistant Part time, 20 hours per week, working Monday-Friday, 8.30am-12.30pm, 39 weeks per year (term time only) £12,471.11-£13,355.33 (£25,867-£27,701 FTE) To commence in September/October

We are seeking an enthusiastic, organised and professional School Office Assistant to join our busy school office. Working closely with the Office Manager and wider administration team, the successful candidate will be responsible for handling incoming telephone calls during the morning period, ensuring enquiries are directed appropriately and dealt with efficiently. The role will also involve supporting student attendance processes, including call-out duties, maintaining accurate records and databases, and providing administrative support across a range of office functions.

Flexibility is essential, as the role will include providing cover and assistance where required to support the wider team.

The successful candidate will:
  • Have a polite, warm and professional telephone manner and the ability to respond effectively to a range of enquiries
  • Have sound IT skills; experience using Bromcom would be an advantage, but is not essential
  • Have excellent interpersonal, organisational and communication skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and manage competing demands
  • Be able to work accurately and efficiently, maintaining a high level of attention to detail
  • Have a positive and flexible approach, with a willingness to support colleagues and undertake a variety of administrative duties to a high standard
  • Be able to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion when handling sensitive information

Other necessary qualities include reliability, efficiency, initiative, attention to detail, the ability to work independently and as part of a team, and a willingness to contribute to the continued improvement of our school.
