We are looking to recruit a passionate and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to work with the class teacher to support the running of the classroom and focussing on the needs of a child with SEN. Hours of work:
This is a term-time, permanent contract starting as soon as possible. Term time only - 39 weeks a year - 30 hours per week - 8.30am to 3.15pm
- Monday to Friday.

Salary: £26,044 full time equivalent per annum (£18,834.67 pro-rata per annum) - £13.88 per hour.

A typical day in the life of a teaching assistant:
  • Assisting the teacher in routine classroom tasks.
  • Preparing learning materials and setting up equipment.
  • Assisting individual children or groups of children, some of them with special education needs.
  • Contributing, where appropriate, to any discussion of pupils' needs and progress.
  • Making sure the learning environment is safe.
  • Support pupil activities and behaviour.
  • Participate in any relevant staff development activities.
  • Assist in meeting the children's needs for encouragement and reassurance.
  • Liaising with parents.
  • Following safeguarding policy and procedures.
The successful candidate will have:
