About the role:

We are seeking an exceptional, enthusiastic, and highly motivated Behaviour Mentor to join the dedicated team at Bramley Grange Academy, a thriving special school set within 42 acres of beautiful Surrey countryside in Grafham.

This is an exciting opportunity to join the academy at a particularly significant time in its development. Over the past year, the school has achieved remarkable success, with our best-ever KS4 outcomes, demonstrating the outstanding achievements of our pupils. Alongside this, behaviour across the academy has improved significantly, with suspensions and restrictive physical interventions reducing dramatically, while attendance has more than doubled over the last year.

These improvements reflect our unwavering commitment to high expectations, positive relationships, and ensuring every pupil can succeed.

As a Behaviour Mentor, you will play a pivotal role in helping pupils overcome barriers to learning, develop positive behaviours, and achieve their full potential. This is a highly rewarding opportunity to make a genuine difference to the lives of young people with social, emotional, and mental health needs.

Working closely with pupils, families, teachers, and external professionals, you will provide targeted support that promotes engagement, resilience, self-regulation, and personal growth. Through positive role modelling, coaching, and mentoring, you will help pupils build confidence, strengthen social skills, and develop the strategies they need to succeed both in school and beyond.

The successful candidate will be passionate about supporting young people, skilled at building strong and trusting relationships, and committed to maintaining high expectations while providing the care, challenge, and encouragement pupils need to thrive. You will contribute to our positive school culture by supporting behaviour for learning, delivering targeted interventions, promoting attendance and engagement, celebrating success, and helping pupils develop the confidence and independence needed for adulthood.
