Overview
We are working with a well-established and respected M&E contractor who have been successfully delivering projects across the UK for over 50 years and now operate at a turnover of around £65 million.

They are now seeking an experienced Mechanical Project Manager to take ownership of a new care home development in Guildford, managing the mechanical element of the project from pre-construction through to completion.

This is a great opportunity to join a stable contractor with strong repeat business, a healthy pipeline and supportive leadership structure.

Role Responsibilities

Manage the full mechanical package throughout the project lifecycle

Lead pre-construction activities including design review, programming and procurement

Coordinate and oversee subcontractors, labour and supply chain partners

Ensure works are delivered safely, on time, to budget and to specification

Act as the main mechanical point of contact for the client, consultants and wider project stakeholders

Review technical information, support design development and respond to RFIs

Monitor commercial performance including variations, reporting and cost control

Attend progress meetings and provide regular updates to senior management

Support testing, commissioning and project handover documentation

Experience & Requirements

Previous experience as a Mechanical Project Manager working for an M&E contractor

Strong understanding of HVAC, plumbing, public health systems and installation standards

Proven experience managing projects from early engagement to completion

Experience working on care, residential, healthcare or similar environments is beneficial

Excellent communication and leadership skills with a client-focused approach

Ability to plan, coordinate and problem-solve effectively

Package & Benefits

£70,000 - £75,000 basic salary (DOE)
