Come and join us as a Multi Skilled Engineering Apprentice at our Ewhurst site in Ockley!

Recognising the increasing skills gap in the engineering sector, we have committed to developing the best engineers and leaders of the future, our Engineering Apprenticeship Programme is designed to cultivate a pipeline of engineers who possess a deep understanding of the latest technologies and sustainable practices. By developing a cohort of aspiring engineering professionals, we aim to bridge the current skills gap and lay the foundations of a resilient and adaptable workforce that is well equipped to meet the demands of the future.

We partner with IPS to offer an exciting, world class programme which encompasses training and development alongside practical application and projects at their training centre in Kent. You will be provided with accommodation (Monday to Friday) during your first year with IPS. Wienerberger will cover this cost plus your travel expenses.

Our Centre of Excellence, based at our Sandtoft site in Doncaster offers a space where our apprentices can complete essential training exercises in a workshop environment, with classrooms, a conference space and welfare facilities. Wienerberger has a wide range of mechanical, electrical and robotic equipment and we will develop you to install and maintain these to the highest standard. You will spend time at the centre with your peers to hone your skills.

Year 1: you will be based at the training provider on a full‑time basis, where you will learn the basics of engineering.

Years 2‑4: you undertake a mixture of learning at your training provider, at our Centre of Excellence (residential Monday to Friday) and sites; meet and train with key equipment and robotics suppliers and undertake practical learning. This enables you to build key relationships and learn from your experienced colleagues.

In addition to your apprenticeship, you will also gain a number of vocational and academic qualifications which are fully funded. • You will have attained (or are expecting to receive) Maths and English GCSE at?
  
  Grade?5or above (equivalent to old?grading?
  
  C+); this is the minimum qualification for you to be considered by the training provider
• Have a passion for engineering
• Have bags of enthusiasm and are keen to learn with a can‑do attitude
