This is an exciting opportunity for a self‑motivated and driven individual to take ownership of engineering projects end‑to‑end across Thames Water’s operational sites and estate. You’ll manage every stage of our CAPEX projects — from early scoping and competitive tendering to contractor procurement, site setup, health and safety checks, commissioning, training and final handover to operations.

What you will be doing as an Electrical Project Engineer
  • Manage and deliver a portfolio of Electrical projects valued between £100,000 and £1 million.
  • Run multiple live projects at once
    , while preparing future schemes through scoping and tendering.
  • Drive innovative engineering solutions that boost site efficiency and deliver value for money.
  • Collaborate with operations teams and contractors to develop low‑risk, cost‑effective scopes.
  • Lead with a zero‑compromise approach to health and safety
    , carrying out monthly audits.
  • Oversee construction activities in line with company procedures, industry standards and CDM regulations.
  • Work closely with delivery partners and contractors to ensure on‑time delivery of all projects.
  • Ensure compliance with Asset Standards and British & International Standards.
  • Provide financial forecasting and VOWD reporting across your portfolio.
  • Prepare, review and approve project documentation
    , including PCI, programmes, RAMS and CPPs.
  • Manage commissioning, training and handover
    , ensuring operations teams receive fully completed and compliant project packages.

For this role, you will receive a car allowance, so a driving licence is required.
