We’re partnering with a leading global aerospace organisation looking for a talented Proposal Engineer to join their growing modifications team. This is an exciting opportunity to work on complex aerospace projects, helping transform customer requirements into fully engineered, commercially viable solutions.
You’ll become a key part of a collaborative engineering environment, supporting projects from the initial concept through to successful delivery.
This is a varied engineering role where you’ll have exposure to the full project lifecycle. You’ll combine technical knowledge, commercial awareness, and problem‑solving skills to create solutions that meet customer needs and deliver real value.
- Support innovative aerospace solutions and help develop modification programmes that enhance aircraft capabilities and customer operations.
- Work with global teams and customers, collaborating across multiple disciplines to bring complex projects to life.
- Turn concepts into deliverable plans, creating detailed proposals covering technical requirements, costs, schedules, risks, and delivery approach.
- Make a visible impact by contributing to projects that support aircraft operators and the wider aviation industry.
- Support the development of aerospace modification solutions based on customer requirements.
- Create technical work statements covering engineering activities, resources, materials, certification requirements, and project needs.
- Develop cost estimates, pricing, schedules, and risk assessments.
- Prepare clear and accurate proposals for internal review and customer presentation.
- Support the transition of awarded projects into the delivery phase.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes and ways of working.
- Occasionally travel domestically or internationally to support projects.
You’re an experienced aerospace engineer who enjoys solving complex challenges, collaborating with different teams, and seeing projects progress from an initial idea into reality.
- A degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
- 5 years’ experience within the aviation or aerospace industry.
- Experience working on aerospace projects, modifications, or engineering solutions.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Knowledge of aerospace certification requirements and regulatory standards.
- Experience developing engineering proposals, estimates, or technical solutions.
