We’re looking for an Electronics / Electrical Engineer to join an innovative engineering team developing and improving cutting‑edge electronic products. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys solving technical challenges, working across multiple disciplines, and seeing their work make a real impact on commercial products.
This role offers a varied mix of hands‑on engineering, product development, testing, and continuous improvement, with the opportunity to take ownership of projects from concept through to delivery.
What You’ll Be Doing- Ownership and execution of end to end projects - requirements, testing.
- Investigating electronic and electrical faults using structured problem‑solving techniques.
- Supporting the design, verification and continuous improvement of electronic control systems.
- Developing and executing PCB and system‑level test procedures.
- Carrying out functional and electrical testing to validate design changes.
- Working closely with software, mechanical, manufacturing and service teams to integrate new solutions.
- Supporting embedded firmware testing and debugging hardware/software interactions.
- Producing technical documentation, test reports and engineering records.
- Contributing to design reviews and continuous improvement initiatives across the engineering team.
- Degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering or a related discipline (or equivalent industry experience).
- Experience in electronics design, electrical systems or embedded engineering.
- Comfortable with hardware and software, with the ability to troubleshoot across both disciplines.
- Strong fault‑finding and root cause analysis skills.
- Experience reading circuit schematics and PCB layouts.
- Practical experience using laboratory equipment including oscilloscopes and multimeters.
- Understanding of analogue, digital and power electronics.
- Experience with PCB design tools.
- Knowledge of embedded microcontrollers.
- A structured, analytical approach to engineering and problem solving.
- Python/C/C++ or scripting experience.
- Embedded firmware testing.
- Git or other version control systems.
- Communication protocols including UART, I2C, CAN or Modbus.
- Experience managing technical work packages or small engineering projects.
- Salary up to £55,000 (negotiable depending on experience)
