About our Student Scholarship Scheme Our Student Scholarship Scheme is open to scholars enrolled on, or committed to changing to, an integrated Masters degree in Civil Engineering. If you achieved excellent A-level grades (A or A*) in Maths and Physics, are developing a theoretical understanding of structural analyses, and can manage your time effectively, we’d love to hear from you!

As part of the Scheme, you will complete an 8-week summer placement after your first year of study, a 12-month industrial placement after your second year, and a further 8-week summer placement after your third year. During this time, you’ll gain valuable hands-on experience by working closely with our senior engineers on challenging and rewarding projects, while also developing the competencies needed to achieve Chartered Engineer status with the ICE and IStructE.We

welcome applications from eligible students in the first three years of their MEng degree course.

All placements are paid at above the Real Living Wage. In addition, Scholars receive an annual bursary of £1,850 after a first successful industrial placement.

Applications to join our Student Scholarship Scheme are open from 1st October to 31st December 2026 with the first placement starting in the summer of 2027.Our scholars consistently tell us they appreciate the friendly and collaborative environment, the opportunity to make a meaningful contribution to real projects, and the breadth of experience they gain during the placements. They also value the clear progression opportunities available to those who choose to join us as graduate engineers upon completing their studies.
