Accounts Assistant Manager Guildford, Surrey Hybrid Working Competitive, based on experience A well-established accountancy practice in Guildford is recruiting an Accounts Assistant Manager to join its growing Accounts team. This role is ideal for a qualified ACA / ACCA accountant with strong practice experience who is looking to take on greater responsibility, client ownership and advisory exposure. The position offers a mix of hands-on accounts preparation and review , team supervision and business advisory / corporate finance support , making it a well-rounded opportunity for career progression.

The Role Manage a growing portfolio of clients , acting as the primary point of contact Prepare and review statutory accounts for limited companies, partnerships and groups Prepare and review year-end working paper files and liaise with auditors Manage and oversee group consolidations Review accounts and files prepared by junior colleagues Support Directors with advisory projects , including due diligence and company valuations Deliver management accounts, forecasting, budgeting and variance analysis with commentary Take ownership of assignments from planning through to final delivery Manage day-to-day client relationships to ensure a high-quality service Support the training, supervision and development of junior staff Ensure compliance with current UK accounting standards and best practice Contribute to process improvements and firm growth initiatives Candidate Profile ACA or ACCA qualified (essential) Degree-level education or equivalent Previous experience within a UK accountancy practice (essential) Strong knowledge of UK accounting standards Experience preparing and reviewing accounts for limited companies and groups
